Ambulatorio Rural I y II:
           
Los Ambulatorios Rurales prestan atención integral, general y familiar sin recurrir a la hospitalización; se encuentran ubicados en poblaciones menores a 10.000 habitantes.
Existen dos tipos: Ambulatorio Rural I y Ambulatorio Rural II. Estos dos tipos de ambulatorios rurales presentan las siguientes diferencias:




Rural outpatient I and II:Rural clinics attention integral, general and family without resorting to hospitalization; they are located in towns of less than 10,000 inhabitants.

            Prestan atención integral, general y familiar, puede haber observación perono hay hospitalización; se encuentran ubicados en poblaciones mayores de 10.000 habitantes. Existen tres tipos: Ambulatorio Urbano tipo I, Ambulatorio Urbano tipo II y Ambulatorio Urbano tipo III. Entre ellos se presentan las siguientes diferencias:

* Ubicados en poblaciones mayores de 20.000
habitantes y con un área de influencia de 100.000
habitantes
* Tienen entre 60 y 150 camas.
* Cuentan con
servicios de medicina interna, pediatría, cirugía general
y ginecología - obstetricia; laboratorios, rayos X y
odontología, cirugía ambulatoria, docencia de Pre y post
grado.* Ubicados en poblaciones mayores de 60.000
habitantes y con un área de influencia de 400.000
habitantes
* Tienen entre 150 y 300 camas.
* Cuentan con
servicios de medicina interna, pediatría, cirugía general
y ginecología - obstetricia; laboratorios, rayos X por 24
horas, odontología, cirugía ambulatoria y especializada,
sub-especialidades, terapia intensiva y anatomía
patológica;docencia de Pre y post grado.
* Ubicados en poblaciones mayores de 100.000
habitantes y con un área de influencia de 1.000.000
habitantes
* Tienen más 300 camas.
 
* Cuentan con servicios
de medicina interna, pediatría, cirugía general y
ginecología - obstetricia; laboratorios, rayos X por 24
horas, odontología, cirugía ambulatoria y especializada,
sub-especialidades, unidades de largaestancia, terapia
intensiva, anatomía patológica, docencia de pre y post
grado.
