WHY WE SHOULD BECOME VEGETARIAN?
You must be one of those persons that when gets home goes directly to the kitchen to look for what your mother has cooked. Then you probably sit on the table andwait for the delicious lunch that she has made for you. That is usual, most people do that. But when you receive your meal and see what it is, do you ever stop to think about how did that chicken,meat, pork got to your table? How was their journey? You should ask yourself these questions before eating something that has eyes, mouth, nose, heart and senses. The answers will be an eye opener.Although, many people believe that the life of an animal in the farm is as projected on television and eating animals is healthy, this cannot be further from the true. I am convinced that become avegetarian is the best thing we can do.
People who eat meat of animals believe that animals have a good life while they are in the farm. However, this is not true at all, because animals that are destined tohuman consumption since the moment that they are born live as machines and what it is for sure is that animals are never killed in a compassionate way. For example chicks, that since the first daythey were born, they suffer horribly. First, workers remove part of the chick’s beaks, and then they are moved to cages that are so small that they cannot even spread their wings. Finally, when they donot produce enough eggs, chicks are brutally killed by workers that break their necks. How this can be called life?
Other argument that the people who eat meat maintain is that we need to eat animalsbecause of the nutrients they give us. However, such argument completely ignores the fact that having a vegan diet is the most effective way to extend our life spam. According to the Academy ofNutrition and Dietetics, vegetarian diets reduce risk of suffering from cardiovascular diseases, low blood pressure, vulnerability to type 2 diabetes, and cancer.
