Credit cards are essential to our everyday life. In this modern era a lot of things have been invented to facilitate our daily lifestyle. Credit cards are one of those amazinginventions. That is why I strongly believe that having a credit card has more advantages and outweigh the disadvantages.
For example, credit cards can make life easier for the consumer. Whenever youwant to buy something online all you have to do is input your credit card information and the transaction will be completed. That is a much easier process than the one you would have to do if youdidn't have a credit card. Also, if you become a victim of theft the only thing you will need to do is call the credit card company, explain the situation and have them cancel your card. This has beensaid to be a great way to protect yourself against theft and most importantly your money.
However, blowing your budget can be a very a big disadvantage while having a credit card. The credit cardcompanies will sometimes advise you to spend more money than what you can really afford. This is just some of the ways they make more money. Most of the time cardholders don’t see that spending moremoney means paying them back double the amount they originally spent. This can cause a lot of stress and depression, not to mention some financial hardship.
Lastly, credit cards can help you builda credit for future use. A credit score is a very important thing to have for us Americans. It can help us get a loan with good interest rate and it can also help you get a good job. Of course theonly way for you to build up your credit score is by having a credit card and making sure you pay it on time. If for some reason you max that credit card out and you stop paying it your credit score willdrop and you might not be able to get loans among other things that easy.
In conclusion, it seems to me that the advantages of owning a credit card are far greater than its disadvantages. It...
