Video-Games are electronic games played on a video screens like Tvs, Computers or Arcade Machines. In the Old times, Video games used to come in cartridges,but today are saved in Cds and Dvds. Someof the first videogames were Atari 2600 and Nintendo in 1960 with “Spacewar!”(In this game, the player has to shoot the other spaceships while flying around a star).
There are lots of categories ofvideo games, the most common are “Adventure”, “Strategy”, “Platforms”, “Role”, “Sandbox” and “Fight”.

Adventure games are a genre of videogames where the player assumes a type of character and theobjective is to explore, find and solve lots of puzzles and riddles. One of the most famous Adventure game is “The Legend Of Zelda” by Nintendo which tells as the story of Link.

Strategy video gamesare games that emphasizes the mind of the player. This type of games take a lot of time because the player must think the plan before strike or sometimes, the player requires to achive some challengesbefore the main objective. In this type of category, we could name the “Age of Empires”. In this game, the player is the king of a civilization and must fight with other empires.

Platforms videogames are games in 2D where the player must jump and run.The most common type of platformers are the Single Screen Movement. This games generaly are associated with the arcade games. “Mario” is one ofthe most famous platform games in the world.

RPGs (Rol Playing Games) are video games where the player assumes a protagonist, who lives in a fictional world. The player's objective is to move theprotagonist in the world to achive quests and other challenges. An example of this type of game is “Lineage”

Sandbox games are games where the player choose the game mode. This type of game becomefamous because of the freedom tha the game grants. You can walk anywhere, do whatever you want and play like you want. In this category can be named “The Elder Scrolls”, “Assassins Creed” and...
