TV and Children.

I will be telling you about the television and children. TV has some advantages for example, it is entertaining and educational, and it can open new worlds for kids, but I belivetelevision also influences them to undesirable ways because the children are excellent imitators. They can be violent in terms of behavior, health, and information about sexuality.
Children imitatethe violence they see on TV. Children under age eight cannot tell the difference between reality and fantasy. It makes them more vulnerable to learn from and adopt as reality of the violence theysee on TV. Many shows glamorize violence. TV often promotes violent acts as fun and effective way to get what you want without consequences.
Children who watch more TV than read are overweight; theyare more inactive and tend to eat while watching TV. Also 20,000 ads encourage unhealthy eating habits. Likewise, on program and movies children watch person smoking and drinking alcohol. I think itis dangerous for children to witness such as young age these habits because they are loking for personal development, their idenity.
Most of parent do not talk with their kids about sex andrelashionship. sexual content is presented on TV, for example, in music videos, soap operas, etc., but the problem is not showing anything about contraception or safe sex. Kids are probably not learning whattheir parents would like them to learn about sex from TV.
In conclusion, now we know three importants reasons why the television is not so positive for children, but you like mother or father couldhelp teaching good TV habits, for example, you have to watch TV with your children or authorize some programs, cartoons, shows, etc. Talk with kids wath they see on tv, do not leave your kids alonewatching TV and no more than two hours per day. when I was a kid my parents forbade me watch Power Rangers because they said it was a violent program. and when i was fourteen, Discovery Channel was my...
