ESSAY: Should we make “cannabis” legal in Argentine
Pertaining to the issues referred to avariety of addiction which has been discussed in congress from which some of them have been approved. The ones which were regulated by law are, for instance, the prohibition of smoking in publicssetting and the illegal selling of alcohol to young citizens. Both of them seem to be fairly sensible. But, nowadays, the possibility of making legal the personal consume of “cannabis” in Argentine isstill being debated. Is it essential that the issue should be pondered in the middle of such insecurity? Will the state be able to manage it whether it is officialised? As far as I am concerned thecontroversial project to legalize the auto consume of “cannabis” seems to be a pointless argument. It is said specifically by two relevant points: the “cannabis” brings negative effects to the consumer aswell as to society.
Concerning to the drawbacks consequences that cannabis cause to the addicts are multiple, not only psychological but also physical sequels. As regards the first one, drugconsumption leads individuals to deal with a series of harmful downside. In fact, the more relevant are, such as the sense of time is modified, the memory is weakened and the concentration and coordinationare reduced. Besides, brain cells in human being are damaged for ever for the use of “cannabis. With reference to the second ones, sexual organs, heart and lungs are affected in consumers as a resultof the dependence to the alleged substance. Besides, the major health hazard resides in that “cannabis” induces to the employment of others sort of drugs still more dangerous than this one which couldaffect it in a faster way both body and mind. Therefore, the life expectancy is shortened drastically by drug abuse.
