Drug Use and its Solution
What makes drugs “cool”? Nothing. Living in a society and culture in which people go out dancing till the sun rises, I’ve come to realize; you can actually have fun,without abusing any type of drug. History and science have shown nothing good comes from drugs, whether it be alcohol, or heavy drugs such as perks. Drug use can seriously damage brain activity andyour physical state, and it can also ruin your social skills. Then, why do people abuse drugs?
In EE.UU, drugs have been cool for a while now. Many, perhaps most, American teenagers who use drugsthink they are cool, but they really aren’t, at least not to a lot of people who seek fun without the help of such substances, like me. These people grew up in a society where being a “bad boy,” was hot.Obtaining drugs has become so much easier for teenager lately, that even some say that getting alcohol is harder than getting street drugs. It really has come down to popularity. The more this productis wanted, the more it will be produced, thereby, an easy access to it. But teenagers, especially constant users, don’t realize the effects these drugs have on them.
Sitting in biology class, drugabuse might not seem that interesting or heart breaking, but when you live the reality of it, it is something awful to go through. So why wait for tragedy to strike, when you can easily learn about themisery that drugs bring along with them? Gladly, many of the effects of drugs have become common knowledge and people don’t exactly have to google answers. Drugs are all addictive. Depending on theperson and on the drug, one try can spark an instant addiction. Addictions are destructive to society. Addicts will resource to violence and vandalism in order to get their fix. They will becomeantisocial and grades will drop because their brain is degrading every time they use drugs. Drugs can even bring death.
