First and foremost in most instances, people experience greater success when they know what to expect from things. College must be seen as a place to grow mature, making new friendships and learnabout different subjects and events that may occur on your life and how are we going to react towards them. It’s a time in your life where important decisions must be made and you must think of therepercussions this ones will have. Family plays and important role on this decision making, but in college we become more independent, we learn to coexist with different cultures and people that havelived on different societies, we also learn how to live on an environment that makes us more competitive and makes us want to enrich ourselves in the new knowledge about different subjects.
That stated,in my personal case “family” has played a very important role in my life. I see my parents as role models or as an inspiration because of what they do and the passion they express while doing it.Family has taught me that life can be described in two words: “hard work”, if you work hard for something then you’ll probably achieve it, if you don’t then you’ll never know. Family is considered assome sort of union on which we can count when life gives us rough patches. If it wasn’t for family who would have taught us values such as respect, honesty, friendship, responsibility, tolerance? Nobodywould’ve, that’s why I consider it a very important role, because they must be seen as the “origin or base” to everything. Everybody in mine has graduated from very prestigious colleges around theworld and I would love to follow that excellent pattern so that I can be myself an excellent professional that earns her own money for living expenses and be competitive around others.
