STRATEGIES AND TACTICS
Most people think that strategies and tactics are similar but the reality is very different because strategies are keys or steps for reaching an objective ora goal and tactics are ways for reaching an objective or a goal. Through tactics we can obtain or develop a strategy.
Strategies are courses of general action or alternatives that show a directionand how we can use the resources for obtaining the objectives with more beneficial conditions and tactics are particular actions for achieve those strategies.
The strategy responds to the questionof what should be done in a given situation. Establish a plan of action, to interpret the plan of the opponent, have a orientation of the course that can take the events in the future are the mainelements that are part of a strategy. The tactic answered the question of how we carry out our plans and ideas.
For a company is very important to develop these two skills because if we have goodstrategies but not a very strong and power tactics, it would be nothing in advantage from the competition, because it would take advantage of this and develop better tactics and take out your company fromthe market.
SUPER POLICIES
There are some policies that help companies to develop better strategies and for being successful in the future.
Forget the past: This means that we should only take intoconsideration what is happening now and not establish strategies that work in past years or for a similar task. We always have to develop strategies for the specific task or objective that we want toaccomplish.
Think global: We have to noticed that what we do and decisions that we take are going to affect the company in a positive or in a negative way so we always have to plan strategies in whichall the aspects are included.
Internal change must be drastic: This means that if something is bad or is affecting the company we should take it out complete and start from scratch.
