a. BORN: Hernando de Soto born in 1496/1497 in Spain,Badajoz,Extremadura he was a Spanish explores and conquistador,theirs parentes were hidalgos of modestmeans in Extremadura,a region of poverty and hardship.
He spent time as a child at cach place birthplace, and he stipulaled in his will that his body be interred at Jerez de los Caballeros where other members of his family were interred.
He was attracted to whispers of glory and wealth.De Soto siled to the New world in 1514,with the first Governor of Panama,Pedrarias Davila,brave leadership.
b.-THERISE OF HERNANDO DE SOTO:
In 1530,de soto became a regidor of Leon,Nicaragua after many years of travels in Central America looked for connection between The Atlantic Ocean and The Pacific Ocean to enabled trade with the Orient, the richest market in the world.
Failind that and without means to explore further,de Soto joind Francisco Pizarro at his first base of Tumbez shortly before departurefor the interior of Peru.
Pizarro quickly made Soto one of his captains,the Spanish captured Atahualpa.De Soto was sent to the camp of the Incan army,where he and his men plundered Atahualpa’s tents.
During 1533,the Spanish held Atahualpa captive in Cajamarca for moths while his subjects brought gold and silver objects to fill a room for his ransom.During his captivity,de Soto became a friendlywith Atahualpa and taught him to play chess.By the time the ransom had been completed.
After that they kill Atahualpa to prevented his rescue.Soto and his men headed to Cuzco the capital of the Incan Empire Pizarro sent his brother Hernando Pizarro,and de Soto ahead with 40 men,they fought a pitched battle with Incan troops in front of the city,but the battle had ended before Pizarro arrived withthe rest of the Spanish party.The Spanish plundered Cuzco where they found much gold and silver.Atahualpa ransom,and the plundered from Cuzco, de Soto became very wealthy,after that he try to go with Almagro to explore and conquer the souther part of the Incan Impire(Chile) de Soto applied a large payment for the position.De Soto applied to be his second in command, offering a large payment forthe position, but de Almagro turned him down,de Soto packed up his treasure and return to Spain in 1534.
De Soto return to Spain with an enormous share of the Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire.He was admitted in the prestigious Orden of Santiago.His share was awarded to him by the King of Spain,and he received 724 marks of gold,17,740 pesos He married with Isabel de Bobadilla,daughter ofPedrarias Davila and a relative of a confidante of Queen Isabella.
C.-FALL OF HERNANDO DE SOTO:
De Soto petitioned Kimg Charles for he govermement of Guatemala with permission to make discovery in the South Sea but was granted the governorship of Cuba instead de Soto was expected to colonize the North America Continent for Spain within four years for which his family would be given size a piece ofland.
