Questions to discuss:



How are companies and managers trying to attract and retain Generation Yworkers?

They've been trying to retain us by "forming part of our world", they've been our joining social networks and video channels for example, toattract us, some of them even show off by making rap videos, becoming "cool" to our eyes, and just making us feel identified with them.


Why are they soconcerned about doing this?

They are concerned about this because we the Generation Y, are taking over the media, internet, and just communication ingeneral, their companies need to move on otherwise they wouln't work and succed as well as the companies who are lead by Generation Y such as google,facebook, youtube etc.

How are the changers managers are making, in response to Generation Y workers, ontribute to organizational effectiveness?

Thechanges managers are making in response to us might contribute to a better working environment filled up with new ideas and a lot of creativity, however oldgenerations will have to really make huge changes in the way they used to work.



How might these changes increase responsiveness to customers?Customers will be more responsable to give feel back of what the company is doing, since there will be a lot from the company to show to customers viasocial networks, youtube etc, customers can easily ask questions otherwise they wouln't dare to ask, since the web is still a free speech zone.
