Crash is an American movie about racial and social frictions inside the American culture. Rick Cabot and John Ryan are characters of the movie, who are members of The Angeles´ police deparment in case of, Rick is a District Attorney in L.A and John is police officer. Both are white men but they are from different social class. The first one is the upper class and de second one is frommiddle class. In the movie is posible see the lifestyle upper class depends of public imagine and lifestyle middle class is related with economic needs. On one hand upper class face social difficulties and pressures and on the other hand, middle class face economic difficulties and pressures.

The difficulties of the upper class in America are of socialcharacter. Rick´s lifestyle (upper class person) is distinguishes because, he has a lot of money, luxurious house and car, prestigious job, high level of education and he commands other people. In the movie this character is victim of theft his luxurious car. Instead, to worry about his property loss he worried about political implications that the robbers were black because an importan part ofhis political backrest were from black people. Due to this, we can see that is very important to the American upper class keep a good public image and look like rich person since, their economic and social power is related with this. If you do not “seem to like rich person and have power, you are not part of upper class” therefore, you must follow the code of behavior, symbols and havepower for to stay inside it. Follow the code and have power means possess exclusive material objects, to be famous and to hold economic or political power. In the case of, Rick he is famous and economic strong by his political power hereby, if he lost he political power, he would leave the upper class. Consequently, the members of upper class are under pressures like to bear costly possessionsand to be an importan laboral, economic or political position for to be part of it when, someone can not comply with these is exclude.




The difficulties of the middle class in America are economic character. Here, we will speak about John Ryan´s case who is police officer and member of middle class. He belongs to this social class because, he face bad medical assistance,his possessions are within reach of average people and his has some economic needs. His father is ill and have bad medical assistance and John suffers because he can not help his father since, he do not have money for pay a better service. Then, his behavior sometimes is negative with people that have better economic condition that him. Because, he feel resentment againt them so, he sometimesabuse of position like police officer with of rich people. He is worry for the money because he need it for improve his quality of life and the of his father, this kind of needs represent people from middle class. Hence, the middle class face economic difficulties when need better health service because they have enough money for his basic needs not for new unexpected needs.
III. ConclusionIt is similar between upper class and middle class have difficulties but these troubles are for different reasons in the case of, upper class its difficulties are social aspect while middle class are economics. Upper class has not difficulties economic but has many social commitments on the contrary, for middle class is not important its public imagine because them has economicneeds. So, we can see a social paradox because something is “essential for a social gruop or class” for the other is unimportant like happen with the “public imagen to upper class and the economic needs to meddle class”.
