I. Installation
To install the game:
1. Connectyour Windows Mobile™- based Pocket PC device to your desktop computer with ActiveSync®. Close down any applications you may have running in the background.
1. Double click on the .exe file- Age ofEmpires Demo (ARM-XSCALE).exe or Age of Empires Demo (MIPS).exe

II. FAQ


1. What is the difference between the Demo and the full version?
The demo limits you to random games with a time limitof 1500 years (about 4-6 minutes). You cannot change the map settings, load games, or save games. The full game has no time limit, allows you to change the game settings, and adds the ability to playcampaigns, scenarios, and death match games.

2. Application does not appear to install to Windows Mobile™- based Pocket PC device.


On a small number of Windows XP configurations, theInstallShield®/ActiveSync® combination fails. You have a couple of choices for working around this problem. The best solution is to install the game to your Windows Mobile™- based Pocket PC device using adifferent desktop system, if you have one available or can borrow one.


Another option is to install using the CAB install method. To do so:
1. After trying to install and having it fail:2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\MDM on your desktop system.
3. Copy the Age of Empires CAB file from this directory to your Windows Mobile™- based Pocket PC device.
4. Disconnectyour Windows Mobile™- based Pocket PC from your desktop system.
5. Navigate to the file on your Windows Mobile™- based Pocket PC using Pocket Explorer and click on it to install the game.
6.Note that using the CAB method does not allow you to install to a storage card, so make sure you have plenty of free RAM on your Windows Mobile™- based Pocket PC device before using this method....
