La minería es la extracción selectiva de los minerales y otros materiales de la corteza terrestre de los cuales se puede obtener un beneficio económico, así como la actividad económica primariarelacionada con ella.

La minería subterránea o desocavón desarrolla su actividad por debajo de la superficie a través de labores subterráneas, con el uso de maquinaria mucho más pequeña que la utilizada por la minería a cielo abierto, debido a laslimitaciones que impone el tamaño de las excavaciones, las vías de acceso a la montaña y demás labores.

Este tipo de explotación minera es una actividad reciente para la Compañía, y se remonta a finales del año 2009, cuando entró en operación la primera mina subterránea llamadaLa Ye, situada a 3 kms. del Municipio de El Bagre, en jurisdicción de Zaragoza, Bajo Cauca antioqueño, Colombia. Allí se cuenta con una planta de beneficio que procesa aproximadamente 350toneladas de roca al día.
WHERE IT PERFORMS?
This type of mining is a recent activity for the company, and dates back to the end of the year 2009, when it came into operation the first underground minecalled La Ye, located 3 kms. the municipality of catfish, in jurisdiction of Zaragoza, lower Cauca Antioquia, Colombia. There is there a plant that processes approximately 350 tons of rock a day.
