Who can refuse satisfying their taste buds with McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, or any other kind of fast food restaurant?Many people can’t help their fast food craving. There are only a few lucky people in the world who don’t feel the need to eat from these unhealthy places, while most of us cant resist these unhealthyfoods. Many know the effects that fast food has on ones body and health. With knowing, some people will still put their life at risk when overindulging with fast food. Many health issues people haveare caused by the unhealthy food sold at fast food restaurants.
One major health problem caused by fast food restaurants is obesity. America is known to be home for the most obese people. About6,212 youngsters in America and one third of adults are obese because of fast food restaurants. Many will replace good healthy meals with fast food meals, which results in a low intake of fruits andvegetables, and a high intake of fats and sugars. With all the extra amount of sugar, fats, and carbohydrates produced within the food, it can cause a massive weight gain. Massive weight gains can lead toobesity and heart failure. Ultimately obesity leads to death if not treated for correctly.
Another major health problem is diabetes. Diabetes can be inherited through genetics or it can be inheritedthrough a poor eating lifestyle. Diabetes is a leading health factor in America amongst people who over indulge in fast food. People, who eat at fast food restaurants regularly, are puttingthemselves at risk for diabetes. By eating the fatty foods that the fast food restaurant have to offer, ones insulin resistance weakens, thus creating type 2 diabetes. Although many know that by eating poorlyand not watching ones food intake, many will still eat fast food more then two times a week.
