Revision for minimum Drinking Age in United States of America
Changing the drinking age minimum has always been a controversial subject among young Americans. Most young Americans will argue thatthere are a majority of countries that have a minimum drinking age of 18 years of age. Others would argue that if one is old enough to vote, why is it that one is not able to buy an alcoholicbeverage. Why is it that we are revising the legalization of medical marijuana, the revision of fire arms laws, but we cannot revise the drinking age?
Now a day’s kids and teens can go to the doctor andcomplain about pain, aches and lack of sleep and the doctor would prescribe pain medication and could be very addictive to someone that is not considered an adult.
The general belief is that whensomeone turns 18 years old we are considered adults but yet we are not treated like one when it becomes to drinking.
If we are able to call someone an adult we should treat them likewise. We are ableto prosecute late teens as adults for other crimes why are we not letting them make adult decisions and choices.
