Firsts at all, I need to start saying that English is the language of the world. English language is spoken by 60% of the world’s population. I think this is the main importance of learning thislanguage. It is almost impossible to find a country where English is not spoken., the benefits of learning English continue to be really important.

ADVANTAGES

TRAVELING ABROAD: If you want to travelsomeplace, you need to communicate and if you don't speak the language of the country where you want to go, you can speak English and you would be understood right away.

GLOBAL COMMUNICATION:most of the media publications including newspapers and magazines are in English. So If you want to learn new information regarding to what is happening at the other side of the world, you can alwaysacquire a newspaper and start reading.

BETTER JOB OPPORTUNITIES: if you live in a non-English speaking country, you would be asked to speak English when applying to a good job because most of thebusinesses in the world are made in this language.

GAINING NEW FRIENDS: nowadays, when social networks like Facebook have become so important for human´s interaction, speaking English can help youcommunicate with different people around the world and gaining new friends, who at the same time, can help you out in your process of learning this language.

UNDERSTANDING INSTRUCTIONS: moreover theinstructions given in some appliances, gadgets, equipment, food labels and etc, were written mostly in English. it will be important that you understand what was written on the instructions so that youcan use these products without difficulties.

DISADVANTAGES:

DIFFICULT: Learning English can be difficult for some people that are used to speak just in their native language or even for adultpeople, while in children it is easier.
EXPENSIVE: in some countries, English is not taught at schools, so many people have to pay for this.
