The Yukon Territory is above BritishColumbia and between The Northwest Territories and Alaska
Its Capital is Whitehorse; it has a land area of 186,661 sq miles, with a population of 29,552.
Its Most common languages are, English,German and French.
Its agriculture consists mostly on nurseries, vegetables and poultry, as its Industry with mining and tourism.
Yukon Territory takes its name from the Loucheux Native nameYu-kun-ah for the "great river" which drains most of its area. Lying in the northwest corner of Canada's continental mainland, isolated by rugged mountains, it shares a common border and manycharacteristics with its American neighbor, Alaska. Historically, it is indelibly associated with the great Klondike gold rush. The Yukon Territory entered the Federation on June 13, 1898
