Roger Federer is a Swiss professional tennis player who appeared in the No. 1 of the ATP(Association of Tennis Professionals) for 237 consecutive weeks as of 2 February 2004 to 18 August 2008.
Federer has won a record 16 Grand Slam titles for men. He is one of seven male players who havewon a Grand Slam and one of the three (with Andre Agassi and Rafael Nadal) who has managed to do it on three different surfaces (clay, grass and hard courts).
Many sports analysts, critics andtennis players, consider Federer the greatest player of all time.
Federer has appeared in a record number of 23 final Grand Slam tournament. Holds the record for reaching the semifinals or better in23 consecutive Grand Slam tournaments over five and a half years, the 2004 Wimbledon Championships through the 2010 Australia Open.
