ABSTRACT

The installations of La Rejoya thematic park are located at north-west of Popayán city it is at 1.800 metes above sea level, at on average temperature of 18°C in this place we carried out the feeding of egg-lying hens Lohman Brown, in the stageof levant since the fourteente week until the twentieth week, as an alternative to decrease the production costs in productive systems.

We usd 240 hens Lohman Brown of 14 weeks old, distribuited at random in 12 smallholdings cach one with an area of 2.5m2 , for an experiemental area of 30m2 and a density of 8 birds/m2. The base diet was commercial concentrate for levant hens, with 17% ofprotein, we used a design completely at random with 3 treatments, a withess group and 3 repetitions. (To=100% of commercial concentrate; T1: 95% commercial concentrate + 5% quinua (Chenopodiun quinoa Willdenow.); T2: 90% of commercial concentrate + 10% of quinua; T3 85% of commercial concentrate + 15% of quinua). The variables evaluated were; consumption of food (C), weight profit (WP), nourishingconversion (NC); mortality, morbidity and costs.

Accordind to the achieved results for the viation analysis (ANOVA) p>0.05 they did not present significant diferences at any of the evaluated variables, however, T2 (10% of inclusion of quinua) y T3 (15% of inclusion of quinua) indicated tone slightly superior to the other treatmensts in WP y CF; besides T3 it was the most economic treatment. At heend of the essay (week 20), T3 presentd excess of quinua in the excrements. In the same way it was the second best treatment after T2. it did not present rejection in the consumption of quinua, neither mortality and morbidity at any treatment.

RESUMEN

En las instalaciones de El Parque Temático La Rejoya, localizado al nor-occidente del Municipio de Popayán, a una altura de 1800 m.s.n.m y unatemperatura promedio de 18°C, se realizó la evaluación de el reemplazo parcial de concentrado comercial por quinua (Chenopodiun quinoa Willdenow.) en la alimentación de ponedoras Lohmann brown, en etapa de levante desde la semana catorce hasta la semana veinte, como alternativa para disminuir los costos de producción avícola.
