Cell Phones in School

Introduction

Cell phones are of great use, people can communicate through them, in case of anemergency we can call someone and like some cell phones do, we receive e-mails through them. Even though there are many good things about phones, there are still bad things, in school, people cheat in examscause of them, also they chat in middle of a class, or even worst they play games. But there is always a solution to this problem.











Cell phones leads us to 2 thing,“Bad Things” and “Good things”. In the selection of bad thing are :
Cell phones are a distraction – The students use short message service and not everyone remember to turn off their phone duringclass.
Cheating – Students can share information during exams. They can also store any information they want on their cellular phone.
Invasion of privacy – Camera phones are very popular, and they aresometimes used in an inappropriate way in schools, for example in bathrooms.
Harassment – Text messaging is used as a form of harassment.
In the selection of good things are :
Security – Knowingthat your children are reachable anytime is quite reassuring for a parent, especially after birthday parties that finish after 12:00am since its very dangerous in Honduras to be at that time waitingfor your parents to come pick you up.
It brings families together – Families don’t seem to have much time to spend together anymore. With overtime and after-school activities, having the ability tocommunicate with any one of your family member helps bringing families together.
Cell phones are convenient – Everybody is more busy now in days. Students are involved in activities after school, andpractices and meeting time tend to vary a lot. It is very convenient for a student who does not have access to public transportation to call their parents for a ride when they need one.
