1. From your study of import/export in this class, what do you consider the most important talents, traits, and experience to have in employees when you start up a new import/export project?

Inthis work area you have to have a diversity of different people to make the new company stand out and be able to compete. For the sales person, you need someone who is enthusiastic, trustworthy andcharismatic to make the experience of buying the product more enjoyable. This person should also be able to adapt to different situations and environments. As well, they should be persuasive and haveprevious experience with the regulations and standards of importing or exporting a product. A record keeper must be an organized and responsible person in order to keep track of the work done in thecompany. This person must be on task and always finish their work on time, because the paper work, especially in this type of company, is extremely important. The CEO and the senior managers of the newimport/export company must be people that think outside the box. These people not only must look at the company as a whole, but they also have to think outside the box. The CEO and the senior managersshould be people that are creative and innovative.

2. Do a SWOT analyses for the future of U.S. companies in general in the global market place. Consider today’s the international business andeconomic environment and the fact that the U.S. dollar is now very strong. What do the newspapers say?
