EXPOSITORY OR INFORMATIVE PARAGRAPH
DEFINITION
Used to develop the topic being presented. These tend to be more widespread and abundant, depending on the complexity of the topic or concept you areexplaining.
 These are texts whose purpose is to communicate and share knowledge about a particular topic.
 These texts usually include a presentation, development and a conclusion.
It is theeasiest way to organize information in writing.

There are three types of these paragraphs:
Paragraph ordinary, normal or Spanish: it is the most common and is characterized by having a drain on thefrontline.
Paragraph modern, block or German: does not contain indentations and is distinguished by half the line spacing to separate it from adjacent paragraphs.
Paragraph in summary form orFrench: all lines are indented except the first. It is used frequently in texts of dictionaries, bibliographies, indexes, alphabetical or text whose members have some type of numbering.

CHARACTERISTICS OF EXPOSITORY OR INFORMATIVE PARAGRAPHS:
* Informative: it presents information on events,dates, characters, theories
* Explanatory: the information provides of significant features specifications or explanations
* Directive: because it works as a guide to reading, presentingexplicit keys (these keys can distinguish fundamental ideas or concepts)

FUNCTIONS OF EXPOSITORY OR INFORMATIVE PARAGRAPHS:
These paragraphs should develop only a basic idea.
The extension ofthe paragraph depends on the communicative intention of the author.
The declarative sentences are predominating.
Used many technical or scientific terms
Expository texts should be clear, so youhave to use simple and coordinated sentences
