Primero que todo empecemos, por definir riesgo y factor de riesgo:

RIESGO
Se refiere entonces, al efecto que pueden produciraquellos fenómenos y objetos, sustancias, etc, a los cuales se les ha demostrado que poseen la probabilidad de afectar al trabajador, generando enfermedades o accidentes de trabajo.
Por ejemplo, el Ruido es un factor de riesgo que puede causar una enfermedad Ocupacional, la Sordera Profesional.
