FACTORIZATION……

EASY STEPS… TRY IT OUT

Look at this example

Factorize the following…

1. 2x + 4x + 6 – 18x2

Take out the COMMON number that YOU CAN DIVIDE THE REST WITHThe COMMON NUMBER U CAN DIVIDE ALL WITH IS 2…..
And you can use it to divide EXACT.

2x + 4x + 6 – 18x2
2 2 2 2

Then cancel out and divide where you can

1 2 39
2x + 4 x + 6 – 18x2
2 2 2 2
1 1 1 1

So you stay with (don’t forget the x’s)

1x + 2x + 3 - 9 x2

But when u factorzeyou put the COMMON TERM u used

Outside brackets like this

2 (1x + 2x + 3 - 9 x2 )

Yays…. Wait we no done yet…. If you notice we can still add

1x + 2x that are inside thebracket… because they ARE ALIKE

So we get

2 ( 3x + 3 - 9x2)

MAKE SURE THAT YOU SIMPLIFY TO THE MAX… THIS NO DONE YET…. LOOK AT THE NUMBERS INSIDE THE BRACKETS….. WHAT COMMON NUMBER CAN UDIVIDE THEM WITH????

…….. WELL THREE RIGHT… THE POINT HERE IS THAT YOU CANNNN SIMPLIFY MORE… ONLY THE INNER BRACKET THO…. LEFF THE TWO OUTSIDE…

SO U HAVE 2 ( 3x + 3 - 9x2)notice this means 2 X ( 3x + 3 - 9x2)

Now lets simplify more the inner bracket….
3x + 3 - 9x2
3 3 3

When you work this out and divide u stay with
1 13
3x + 3 - 9x2
3 3 3
1 1 1

Which is 1x + 1 - 3x2 REPRESENTED AS 3 ( 1X + 1 - 3X2) BUT remember you had a 2 outsidE

2 x 3 (1x + 1 -3x2)

ANSWER 6 ( 1x + 1 - 3x2) MEANING

Do this one the way I showed you….
15 + 25x - 70x2 + 20 x3

When u finish look at this one… it’s a lil different becauseTHE TOP example had just ONE COMMON TERM…. U can have more…

Example 2

55 x + 45 x5 - 10x3 - 30x2 COMMON TERM IS = 5 AND X…
