Bill Kaulitz Trümper Biography

Bill Kaulitz is a german singer and songwriter; know for being the lead singer in the band “Tokio Hotel”. He was born on September 1st, 1989 on Leipzig, Germany. Hehaves an identical twin brother, Tom.
After his parents, Simone and Jörg, divorced and his mother began dating his, now, step-father: Gordon Trümper. Bill showed an early interest on singing, as didTom on playing the guitar. Gordon noticed this and encouraged them to form a band.
When, Bill and Tom turned 10, they began performing live on small shows. A year later, they met Georg Listing andGustav Schaffer who were on the audience of one of their shows; they offered the twins to join to the band to compliment Tom’s guitar and Bill’s voice with bass and drums. The twins acceptedimmediately and named the ban “Devilish” after a magazine comment.
Devilish wasn’t going anywhere until 2003, when Bill auditioned on the TV reality show “Star Search”. Sony BMG signed a contract with them.The band’s name changed into “Tokio Hotel”. In 2005, they terminated the contract with Sony and signed another with Universal Music Group. The same year, Tokio Hotel released their first album “Schrei”.With the years, Bill and his band began growing and succeeding, going on tours, etc. Soon they became an international band with the release of their album “Scream”. In 2007, they released “Zimmer483”.
In March 2008, during the 1000 Hotels Tour, Bill had a throat infection after singing on 43 shows without a break. The infection caused a cyst on Bill’s vocal chords that was removed in asurgery. By May 2008, Bill was totally recovered and Tokio Hotel rescheduled the 1000 Hotels Tour.
A year later, the album “Humanoid” was released and in 2010, they began the Humanoid City Tour in Europeand in Latin America.
Besides singing, Bill has reprised the german voice of Arthur in the movie “Arthur und die Minimoys”, modeled for Dsquared and for the PETA organization with his brother,...
