Grupo Verbal
Es una frase formada por un conjunto de palabras cuyo núcleo o palabra central esun
nombre o sustantivo.
Elementos del Sintagma Nominal (en inglés)
Detrminador + Premodificador + Núcleo + Postmodificador
Los Determinadores: es el primer elemento en la frase nominal, estospueden ser:
Artículos determinados e indeterminados (the, a, y an)
Adjetivos Posesivos (my, your, his, her, its, our, your, y their)
Adjetivos Demostrativos (this, these, that y those)
Adjetivos que denotan cantidad como: all, some, several y los diferentes números:
one, two, three, entre otros.
Los Premodificadores: pueden ser otro sustantivo o un adjetivo calificativo
El Núcleo: esel elemento esencial del grupo nominal
Los Postmodificadores: es lo que va después del núcleo.
Nota: A veces se omiten algunos de los elementos de la frase nominal.
