\Instructions for the Biography Special Project
Due Date:
During the month of May, student will be required to present and hand in the special project biography.
The teacher will give thedate of presentation. These are not debatable. Presentation must be given on the date assigned. No excuses will be accepted.
Methodology:
Student will be given a name of a person. The nameswere taken from Time Life Magazine Most Influential People of 2010. There are no duplicate names. The names are randomly drawn by each student.
Students will be asked to start finding informationabout the person drawn.
Students will give a power point oral presentation to the class. They will also hand in a written report to the teacher on the day of the presentation. DO NOT hand in a powerpoint presentation. I want the WRITTEN report.
Time Limit:
Time limit MINIMUM will be of five (5) minutes. There is no MAXIMUM. You may take as long as is needed to present your biography.Specifications:
1. All work that is handed in will be typewritten in: Times New Roman, 12 point, with one (1) inch margins.
2. Pages will be numbered in the following manner: Table ofcontent, picture page will be numbered with roman numbers– I, II, etc. Introduction, body and conclusion will be numbered in cardinal numbers-1,2, etc.
Include in your written as well as the powerpoint presentation the following:
Title page (written and pp)
Table of content (written)
Picture of the person that is being presented (written and pp)
Introduction (written)
Body content(written and pp)
Conclusion (written)
Rubrics (written)
You may also consider maps, books, music, short video clip or any other information that may be pertinent to your biography presentation.Grading:
Students will be given a rubric and a point system will be assigned for the following areas:
Power Point Presentation - 30 points
Oral Presentation - 30 points
