GONADOTROPINS
Gonadotropins are medications that are taken by injection to help stimulate the ovaries and produce multiple egg follicles which are small fluids filled cavity in the ovary ofa mammal enclosing a development egg. They are used both in insemination cycles and in higher doses, in vitro fertilization. Side effects include irritability/mood changes, and a lot ofweight gain. Some women experience headaches when they take Lupron, a medication used to prevent ovulation before the egg take. These side effects are quite common, but they should be reported toyour doctor. Sometimes extreme bloating or weight gain can signal a more serious problem.
MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL SIDE EFFECT
Fertility drugs can even affect the way that you think and feel.Many women suffer from depression, or feel unusual irritability. Other women feel unusually fatigued or exhausted, and suffer from changing moods.
VARIAN HYPER STIMULATION SINDROME
Anotherrisk that comes with fertility drug use is ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome (OHSS). OHSS occurs when the ovaries become unusually enlarged, filling with fluid. When ovulation occurs, the fluidis released into the body, causing complications.
Some enlargement of the ovaries during fertility treatment is normal, but in the case of OHSS, they become dangerously so. In rare cases,less than 1% in women going through IVF treatment, OHSS can lead to blood clots and kidney failure.
CLOMID-MOODINESS AND MULTIPLES
Clomid is a drug used to stimulate the ovaries to producemature eggs, and it's often the first choice for women who don't ovulate regularly. Lots of people feel bad on Clomid. Most women only take Clomid for a few weeks and experience the emotionaldisturbs.
Most people take these treatments and although they can give good results it may also cause secondary effects that can harm their body.
