Our workshops have restored it and fitted up parts of it with wiring for the new electric light, so that we may get a hint of what it may looklike when re-assembled. Perhaps we may frighten away the Ghost of so many years ago with a little illumination, gentlemen? (The Auctioneer switches on the chandelier. There is an enormous flash, and the Overture begins. During the overture the opera house is restored to its earlier grandeur. Nos disseram Damas e Cavalheiros, que este é o mesmo lustre (candelabro) Que fez parte do famoso desastre.Nossas oficinas o restauraram e armaram partes dele com fiação para a nova luz elétrica, para que nós possamos ter uma indicação da sua aparência quando remontado. Talvez possamos amedrontar o Fantasma tão antigo (de tantos anos atrás) com um pouco de luz (iluminação), cavalheiros? (O leiloeiro liga o lustre. Há um lampejo enorme, e a Abertura começa. Durante a abertura a casa de ópera estárestaurada em sua antiga grandeza. O lustre, imenso e brilhando, ascende (sobe) magicamente do palco, finalmente pairando no alto acima da platéia)
