FICTION AND NONFICTION
Fiction: is the form of any narrative or informative work that deals, in part or in whole, with information or events that are not factual, but rather,imaginary that is, invented by the author. There are several different types, or genres, of fiction novels.
CHARACTERISTICS :
Plot: The plot is the story, the reason for writing thenovel.

Setting:For a fantasy novel, the setting may be an imaginary realm with creatures, plants and lifestyle completely different from those in the real world

Point ofView: There are four types of point of view: first person, second person, third person omniscient and third person limited. First person is written from the main character'sperspective.

Conflict :Conflict is necessary in a novel, because it makes the story feel real

Resolution: Resolution is the part of the novel where the main character faces hisemotional demons and makes a change, or where the murder case is solved and the suspect is taken into custody.

EXAMPLE: Greek mythology.

Nonfiction: is the form ofany narrative, account, or other communicative work whose assertions and descriptions are understood to be factual.

Characteristics of NonFiction
 The people, events, places, and ideaspresented in nonfiction are real, not invented.
 Nonfiction is narrated by an author who is a real person.

 It presents facts, describes true-life experiences, or discusses ideas. Nonfiction is written for a specific audience, or group of readers. In addition, it addresses a clear purpose, or reason for writing. The audience and purpose influence the typeof information a writer includes.

Tone, the author’s attitude toward the subject or reader, is displayed through the writer’s word choice and style.
