GLADIATOR- FILM REVIEW
Gladiator is an excellent and well-made film that it was done in 2000. It is an historical epic movie directed by Ridley Scott.David Franzoni and John Logan were the screenwriter’s and the soundtrack is the very famous song Now we are free. The main actor is Russell Crowe who playsGeneral Maximus Decimus Meridius.
In AD 180, General Maximus leads the Roman army to a decisive victory against Germanic tribes at Vindobona, earning the esteem ofthe Emperor Marcus Aurelius. Although he has a son, Commodus, the emperor wishes to grant temporary leadership to Maximus, hoping eventually to return powerto the Roman Senate. When his father tells him of the decision, Commodus decided to murder his father and claims the throne.
Maximus realizes the truth aboutMarcus death, but is betrayed by his friend, General Quintus, who instructs the Praetorian guards to carry out Commodus order to execute Maximus and his wifeand son. Maximus manages to escape, and races home only to find he was too late to save his family. He will be founded by slave traders and taken toZucchabar. There he will be forced to fight for his life as a gladiator in arena tournaments.
The main characters are Russell Crowe as Maximus and Joaquin Phoenixas Commodus. Both are a brilliant Australian and American actors respectively who are 47 and 37 years old.

I recommended that film because it tells a storythat does not detract and outperforms the art and truly engages the viewer. I you have not seen it yet I recommend you enjoy it since is a legendary film.
