There’s only one true, supreme in this human life, and has been with us throughout the years. The Old Testament talks about redemption. God by the Old Testament, tries to bring all humans with him. He is making a plan for the people to be with him living free of sin. The key to this is recognising God’s Name in the Scripture.God’s mercy through the Old Testament is special. God says that, every people who treat a person right, he would be treated the same. God will have mercy on those who have mercy. The Lord has also compassion on those who have compassion with each other. As show in Exodus 33:19 “And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in yourpresence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” Lord show’s how he will treat people that are good persons with each other. God’s mercy is shown all over the Bible, and specially the Old Testament. Samuel 24:14 “ David said to God, “I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great; but do not letme fall into human hands.” Is a way to show how David ask the Lord, and asks for mercy, and compassion, so he can overcome his problem. He say’s that “not into humans hands” referring that God can be the only person that can help him with that situation. Another way that God expressed his mercy and compassion with the people was through Jeremiah 3:12 “ Go, proclaim this message toward the north:“‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord, ‘I will frown on you no longer, for I am faithful,’ declares the Lord,‘I will not be angry forever. ” Jeremiah shows how God is going to help him in his return. We says we will not be angry forever because he knows the Lord is going have mercy with him.
God has revealed his love and grace to humanity from the start. Contrary to orthodox and modern viewsof the theology, God is manifested throughout the Old Testament as the God of Love and mercy as talked in last pharagraph. A quick and good example from Old Testaments versicles, is in Exodus 34:6 “They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you area forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them.” In this versicle of Exodus, God show’s the grace that he gave to the people that love him. God is full of compassion and grace. In Isaih 30:18 its another example of the Lord being graceful with the people that praise him. It talks also about God’s justice and his love, becausehim being like that, it’s almost impossible to him to anger. ”Isaih 30:18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him”
In the Old Testament, justice is cast off as a form of correction, when in the New Testament its viewed as a form of modification. Justice can also be find in theBible, the meanings in them of justice can share alike acts.
In Deuteronomy 32:4, they talk about how God is straight, and is impossible to him to fail in what we wants to create in people. He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just.A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
The righteousness of God is one of the most flat features of God in the Scriptures, itsalso on of the most intangible. God’s righteousness is a synonym for his justice. As justice being a part of the Old Testament through God. Neremiah 9:8 “You found his heart faithful to you, and you made a covenant with him to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous.”...
