Enrollment:

     Valid identity document.

     Original code registration number or Icfes State examination.

     Foreigners must submit a high school diploma endorsed by the Ministry of Education.

     Application form filled out (form and credential).

     Not having a degree or professional.

For Admission:

Applicants must be submitted duly registered admissions tests(tests of general skills and specific) on the dates scheduled by the University. Admitidiso be applicants who within the quotas set for each race to occupy the top spots. No other criterion or test for the selection and admission of applicants.

Objective of the curriculum

Prepare a medical professional able to address and resolve the problems of health and illness in the dynamics of the processand the life cycles of individuals, families and communities by:

    The promotion and maintenance of health.
    The prevention, the diagnosis, the pronstico and treatment of diseases and The prevention of its sequelae.
    The physics and mental rehabilitation and development of appropriate social and cultural support that promote them.
    Promote a diverse student formation that allowsdirect their work to the research provider, the clinic practices, family and community or social activities in health.
    Develop in students the attitudes necessary for interdisciplinary work.

CURRICULUM STRUCTURE

The core curriculum professional est consisting of three (3) areas etructurales and seven (7) transcurricular areas. The structural areas are:

    Fundamentacin Area HumanHealth, consisting of twelve (12) subjects.
    Adult Health Area, consisting of nine (9) subjects.
    Area Maternal - Child Health, consisting of two (2) subjects.

The areas transcurricular develop themes that make emphasis on health. Such issues are incorporated into course content areas of Structural integraciny seeking continuity of these areas. The transcurricular areas are:

    Healthand Society.
    Mental Health.
    Recuperacin Health and the Disabled.
    Diagnostic support and Teraputico.
    Genetics.
    Immunology.
    Legal Medicine.

The flexible component est curriculum consists of the following subjects:
Context courses and electives. During development of the area of ​​Human Health Fundamentacin, students must perform at least two (2) courses of contextand one (1) elective. During the development of the areas of Adult Health and Maternal - Child, students must perform at least two (2) context courses or two (2) electives. Lines of profundizacin.

During the development of the areas of Adult Health and Maternal - Child, students must perform one (1) of the following types of lines of profundizacin:

    One (1) line of profundizacin formed byany of the content preferably linked to research projects of a WHO subjects of medicine careers. The number of subjects should not exceed five (5) and should be developed in a period not exceeding five (5) semesters academics.
    Two (2) lines of profundizacin each formed by any of the content preferably linked to research projects of a WHO subjects of medicine careers. The number of subjectsshould not exceed five (5), are developed for five (5) semesters ESTN academics and distributed as: three (3) in a line and two (2) in the other. One (1) line of profundizacin formed by a maximum of five (5) subjects. The student can choose courses from those offered by the Faculty of Medicine or one or more other faculties of the University and should take during a period not exceeding five (5)semesters academics.
    Two (2) lines of profundizacin formed by a maximum of five (5) subjects distributed as: three (3) in a line and two (2) in the other. The student can choose courses from those offered by the Faculty of Medicine or one or more other faculties of the University and should take during a period not exceeding five (5) semesters academics.
