Flow Assurance
Flow Assurance
With Flass
Introduction
Flow assurance is a combined process that involves several techniques of sampling, laboratory analysis, production and facilities engineering oriented to work together in order to assure uninterrupted optimum productivity of oil/gas/water both preventing and resolving at any time any kind problem that can appear from the well to the deliver location. In fact, between the reservoir and installation surface any changes in pressure or temperature can cause deposits of asphaltenes, waxes, and hydrates or even liberate the solution gas. The spirit of effective Flow Assurance management is based in properly fluid data acquisition in real time to anticipate and to find an optimum treatment the same that will help to prevent and to minimize the three major problems wax build up, hydrates formation or asphaltenes precipitation in pipelines. By consequence, Flow Assurance is now a synonymous of a wide range of issues, such as: - System Deliverability. ‐ pressure drop versus production, pipeline size and pressure boosting. - Thermal Behaviour.‐ temperature changes, insulation options and heating requirements, heat loss - Production Chemistry. ‐ Hydrates, waxes, Asphaltene, scaling, sand, corrosivity and rheology. - Operability Characteristics.‐ start‐up, shutdown, cool‐ down, transient behaviour (i.e. slugging, etc) - System Performance.‐ mechanical integrity, equipment reliability, system availability, etc

Flow Assurance This issues concerns basically, pipeline or wellbore blockage (by hydrates or wax), rupture from corrosion, large pressure losses in pipelines, severe slugging in riser destroy separator, separator flooded by liquids, the well can’t lift its fluids and dies. They become expensive in money and time. Vinci Technologies, always thinking in facilitate the study of the origin of these different issues in the petroleum and gas industry and thanks to its innovation spirit, constantly look for solutions to improve the analysis of wax, hydrates, Asphaltenes and other production topics directed to prevent and solved them. This time we put at your disposal a revolutionary machine capable to provide precious information. We performed a Flass analyzer device, basically to understand of the solution behaviour of Asphaltene, waxes and others. It is designed to prevent, reduce and eliminate remedial costs of removing pipeline blockages, avoid deferred production and improve the overall recovery factors. Precisely, it has been motivated by the huge potential of Asphaltenes, Wax and Hydrates to block lines on production, transportation, refining and utilization of petroleum. The precipitation of Asphaltenes is a complex phenomenon that involves Asphaltene and resins. Pressure depletion alone can destabilize Asphaltenes and it is likely the major reason for Asphaltene deposition in well‐bore pipes. As the density of the crude oil decreases (because of depressurization), the screening effect on Asphaltene interactions arising from the presence of oil components decreases, causing the interactions between Asphaltene to become stronger, which in turn induces the precipitation. This precipitation in particular is object of analysis. The Flasssystem enables to identify the solid particles and monitor the change in size and morphology of Wax crystals and Asphaltenes solids as function of ...
