Book Report: Food for thought

The book “Food for Thought” was written by Pauline Francis in 2004.

The story is set in Cornwall in thepast.

The story is about Joe, Kate, Anna, Dave and Jenny. Joe is the main character who decided go to his aunts’ farm at summer to helpthem, Kate is his aunts enemy neighbours daughter and had a special relation with Joe, Anna is his aunts assistant in summer and also is againstof the neighbours, Dave and Jenny are Joe’s aunts.

At the beginning of the book, Joe received a call of his aunt Dave to offer him a job onhis farm at summer.
After that Joe thinks about it and decided to go, because in his free time he could go surfing to Newquay. Later when hearrived he knew about all the neighbours and the problems with the farm. He met Anna who are a protestant and she had a problem with theneighbours. And also met Kate and together went to do surfing.
Then Kate got angry with Joe because he knew about Anna’s plan and he didn’t sayanything to Kate. Joe returned to home after summer and didn’t hear about her.
Finally he came back to his aunts’ farm and met with Kate andafter they talked, they were friends again.

As a conclusion, I would like to say that when I finished reading the book I felt less happy thanI think it will be, because is a good story but the plot is very simple. So, I wouldn’t recommend it if you don’t like simples plots.
