was really a mama’s boy. When his mom and dad where divorced, No one knew the real
story of the break up. Posey was a great Mom toRoberta and Posey but Chick always
took his mom for granted. Decades later, Chick became a bad man. He lived with alcohol

there cooking breakfast for him. That is the chancewhere he had a day to be with his
mother again, and the time where he learned the truth about his Mom and Dad’s
divorce.
In a plot that might soundtoo fantastic to be true, Albom spins a tale of reconnection and opportunity. The book is full of reminiscences from Chick's personal papers --- noteshis mom lovingly wrote him, reminders of times he did not stand up for her and remembrances of his life. But the last day he gets to spend with hisethereal mother might well be the truest day he ever spent with her, for it is in this visit that he learns who she really was and who he really is.
