SUMMARY
The purpose of the following masters degree work is to design an organizational
improvement plan that allowsthe company Caucasia Medio Ambiente S.A. E.S.P, to have
an administrative and control framework that enables effective decision making in the
coming future.
The plan considers a general view ofthe company, starting with the internal and
external diagnostic through SWOT analysis which allows the author to identify main
variables that impact the company. After this step an structuralanalysis is made to identify
possible opportunities to improve current control and increase service level. Once a
complete overview is fulfilled, proposals of solutions are delivered based on existingorganizational models and strategies to get sustainable solutions for the company.
These proposals aim to tackle the problems described; helping to overcome both
current difficulties and risksfaced by the company and develop initiatives to improve 5
service and operation efficiency. Some of these risks are the financial accounts seizure for
non-compliance with tax obligations, operatinglicense cancellation because of low service
levels and non-compliance in final waste disposal operation, the need to improvement
accounts receivable performance to get more healthy financialstatements, operating
income increase by company regionalization to provide service in more towns and
improved service delivery with social impact.
