NET HASP Installation:

The following document describes how to install OptiTex on a NET HASP key.

Before you start to install OptiTex net HASP utilities, make sure you select the “NetworkLicense” component during OptiTex installation:

Once you have completed the OptiTex software installation, you can start to install OptiTex net key:

1. Place your net HASP key on your servercomputer parallel port (it’s recommended to shut down your server computer before you place the key).

2. Open the OptiTex folder in the Start Menu, and select “License Manager” from the “KeyUtilities” subfolder

3. It’s necessary to check if the net HASP drive is working correctly, double click on the “net HASP” icon on windows status bar:

The Net HASP License Manager dialog box willbe displayed, check that the TCP/IP protocol is loaded.

If the TCP/IP protocol is loaded close the Net HASP License Manager dialog box but don’t exit the dialog from the “Exit” menu!
If the TCP/IPprotocol is not loaded, check TCP/IP protocol installation from Windows “Network and Dial-up Connections”.

4. Now you can run remote OptiTex workstations.

If you are interested ininstalling Aladdin monitor software, which enables you to monitor all the working stations that are currently running please follow the next procedures.

Note: It is not necessary to install Aladdin Monitorsoftware in order to use the OptiTex Net HASP key!

Installing Aladdin Monitor Software:

1. Open the OptiTex folder in the Start Menu and select “Monitor” from the “Key Utilities”subfolder. From.

2. Start and finish to install Aladdin Monitor software.

3. From the Start Menu, run the AKS Monitor software under the “Aladdin” folder.
