The devil side of Fraternities
We can think that fraternities are such a good option for the education in men. Almost all of the fraternities got a high level on knowledge and teaching, theygot also a goo development in teaching values and brotherhood. But in the fraternities does exist such serious problems between the students, those problem can cause such tragedies, likepsychological and physical damage, that can conclude in death.
For example hazing occurs in many fraternities and sororities. Experts said that hazing is an abuse of power that can have life- threateningconsequences, hazing has been associated with more than 50 deaths in college fraternities, and physical problems like paralysis and serious emotional effects in many young men and women. Theyparticipate in hazing just to belong to a certain group in the fraternities.
Another problem in the fraternities are the abuse in alcohol consume, students just drink to get drunk. A research showsus a 22% increasing of students that drink just to get drunk, but fraternity and sorority members were labeled as the biggest alcohol guzzlers or binge drinkers. This problem is causingapproximately 50 deaths each year and many more hospitalizations from poisoning or related accidents; that’s why alcohol remains a top health risk to college students, according to alcohol abuse experts.Other serious problem in fraternities is bulling. It includes humiliation and even death threats. 65% of students said they had been humiliated in the previous year. But bullies are nothingmore than cowards, who got personal and social problems, and they use the humiliation as a relief for those problems.
These aren’t not all the problems in the fraternities, it exist more and moredifficulties for the members. We have to find a solution, because it can limit the development in the education of the members, and the high level of the fraternities can get a lot of problems.
