Free speech
“Better a thousand fold abuse of free speech than denial of free speech. “(Charles Bradlaugh). Although free speech may cause problems to governments and society, it is important forpeople to be able to express themselves freely and without any consequences to encourage a better democracy; people feel free by saying what they think, persons have the right to know what is happening,and FS is consider a human right. Freedom of speech is defined “as the right of people to express their opinions publicly without governmental interference, subject to the laws against libel,incitement to violence or rebellion, etc.” this right has been questioned throughout our history, and there’s a discussion about having or not having limits, however, considering the importance of freespeech it is best to push these limits to the max rather than losing your freedom of speech.
Free speech is many times censored by the government, when they feel affected by the “wrong” use of it. Thereare a lot of ways to eliminate free speech; along these ways are threatening people with depraved consequences, censoring internet sites like Facebook, twitter, etc. However, people have right tovoice their opinions in the way they like, whether being verbally, using media, or writing it. Letting people comment what they are thinking, no matter their position, will cause a sense of freedom inthe society. Therefore, by censoring FS people will believe that the government is controlling them and that they are not living in a transparent community.
Since you have the right to expressyourself, you also have the right to listen and to be heard. If you are being obligated or forced to think what others think, then you are not living in a democratic society. A real democracy believes inhuman rights, and wants their individuals to feel comfortable on the country.
