FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION:

The term freedom of expression "can consist of reflections or comments about general ideas, or refer to opinions about news related to specific events", book I, Chapter VII of the discourses on the first decade of Tito Livio says. Or as is pointed out by the Constitutional Court of Spain: "... freedom of expression aims thoughts, ideas and opinions, broad concept withinwhich the beliefs and value judgments must also be included".
Freedom of expression has been one of the fundamental human rights, because it is the extension of individual security mindset, exercise without which it is not possible to venture the possibility of the development of man in society.
Of the 189 countries of the world, a total of 178 recognize freedom of speech as a constitutionalguarantee.
Freedom of expression is part of the human rights of the people and is protected by the Universal Declaration of 1948 and the laws of all democratic States.
This freedom means that all human beings have the right to express themselves without being harassed because of what you are saying. It represents the possibility of conducting research, access information and transmit it withoutbarriers.

In our country, rights are also called individual rights and one of the most important of these guarantees is that refers to freedom.
The Constitution lays down various types of freedom: of expression, printing press, labour, and religious beliefs, among others.
A phone is a means of communication, but what today we understand media, mainly newspapers, radios and televisions, are not ameans through which all we communicate, but are transmitters of knowledge, ideas and attitudes which then transmit to those who read them or listen.
The journalist is not who used the newspaper to send us something, is the same newspaper, and obviously I don't mean a piece of paper but the company without which that piece of paper would not exist, the company that manufactures the newspaper andhires the journalist to produce a version of reality, and to hire him, selects it according to their interests. As Carlos Fernández Liria, pointed out "there is in Spain the worst kind of censorship: that which consists in that only have the possibility to be heard in public space who are according to the owner of the media." In this way is that all journalists who would have to censor areunemployed. Unemployment is, indeed, a very brutal form of censorship, or say what the media owner wants to say is or you can't find work in life".
This does not imply that a margin for work that some journalists are trying to upstream of its means there is, but it is a minimum margin.
The version of reality produced by big media should not be necessarily false, now well, as you know depending on whotell us what things, and whose interests have us tell them, will believe you more or less. In the case of the mainstream media it is large companies related with each other and with clear economic interests. It is they who, in a capitalist country like ours, mostly constructed the imagination of today.
As explained the sociologist Niklas Luhmann, the role of the media is simplify the complexityin terms that are intelligible to the social system as a whole. So that we understand the world, so that the complex combination of facts, data, causes and effects is something that we can represent us, the media system carries out a work of selection, builds an agenda, i.e., choose what is reported and what not. "Simplify media", will tell Luhmann, 'and his own invention of today makes moreaffordable membership in a system and reduces uncertainty."
The problem arises when the major media are at the same time ends, and are particular purposes, private purposes.
