A lot of people thinks technology is the best and it will help us in the future, it could even create new stuffs to make us live longer. However technology also brings consequences,but it is a fact that technology is necessary in our daily life. We have become people unable to comprehend the technology we invent. (Dyson,F.) Many scientist has studied this issue, but in this research the truthabout technology will be revealed.


Technology has brought many benefits for us, human beings, one of it might be the prolongation of our life. Its a fact that the oldest woman Juana Bautista de la Candelaria Rodriguez from Cuba is still alive, she is about 127 year old now, and she doesn't show any attributes of a 127 year old woman. ( She can still walk with assistance, eat and talk) This isa clear example of medical advancement which includes advance technology for treating and preventing diseases, a positive effect of technology.


Another positive effect of technology has been that every day the people create more sophisticated machinery that makes our lifes easier and faster. However science and technology have taught mankind a very special lesson just as Lewis Mumfordquoted However far modern science and technics have fallen short of their inherent possibilities, they have taught mankind at least one lesson: Nothing is impossible ( Mumford, L.) Mankind have existed since a long time ago and every time they need something they always find a method to achieve that goal. Just as when they discover fire for their own use.


However some people and scientistsays that the future isn't going to change our world. John Sladek explains that The future technology will be exactly like the past, only that far more expensive. ( Sladek, J.) This means that technology has only been invented to acquire money and power. This might be true, but it isn't the only negative effect of technology.

People now a day can't imagine how a world without technology wouldbe because they're already used to it. Just as Garrett Hardin stated A world without technology would be prey to something worse: the impersonal ruthlessness of the natural order, in which, the health of a species depends on relentless sacrifice of the weak. (Hardin, G.) Just imagine how would we cook,communicate, and transport without the technology they've created.


A clear negative effectcaused by technology is every type of pollution we are suffering today. Ranging from noise,air,water, and land pollution. It's harming our precious land and sooner or later this land will be uninhabitable because of the massive pollution that technology provides. Just as Garret Hardin stated Technology, when misused, poisons air, soil, water and lives ( Hardin, G.) The statement he told isabsolutely correct because if we misused technology we will harm the environment little by little, even though we don't notice the changes at the moment we will surely suffer from it's consequences.

This are few of the many consequences technology brings, many solutions have been proposed. George Keiller quoted something that is very interesting I'm not sure what solutions we'll find to deal withall our environmental problems, but I'm sure of this: They will be provided by industry; they will be products of technology. Where else can they come from? ( Keiller, G.) This statement he shared is beginning to be noticed in our environment, we can see how our rivers and land are completely dirty. Also the ozone layer is beginning to disappear due to the air pollution factories and cars produce.But the most urgent problem of technology is not pollution but the real problem is what we're going to do about the damage technology made to us. Just as Dennis Gabor said The most important and urgent problems of the technology of today are no longer the satisfaction of the primary needs or of archetypal wishes, but the reparation of the evils and damages by technology of yesterday....
