It is a well-known thing that technology is a thing that is always in constant change, since the beginning of the new millennium, a new era called Actuality has started. Technology in this eraplays a very important role in everybody´s life, especially in young people´s life, because we are now used to technology, without it we could not communicate with other people or share information. Themost important thing that we would miss is to share and receive information to and from other continents.
Introduction:
Wifi technology is a mechanism for wirelessly connecting electronic devices.A device enabled with Wi-Fi, such as a personal computer, video game console,smartphone, or digital audio player, can connect to the Internet via a wireless network access point. This Technology isnow an essencial part of our lives. Wi-fi also allows cheaper deployment of local area networks. Spaces where cables cannot be installed such as outdoor areas and historical constructions can hostwireless internet.
Background:
A Wi-Fi enabled device such as a PC, video game console, mobile phone, MP3 player or PDA can connect to the Internet when within range of a wireless network connected tothe Internet. The coverage of one or more interconnected access points called a hotspot can comprise an area as small as a single room with wireless-opaque walls or as large as many square milescovered by overlapping access points.
Wi-Fi is used by over 700 million people. There are over four million hotspots (places with Wi-Fi Internet connectivity) around the world, and about 800 million newWi-Fi devices are sold every year. So that’s an important amount of servers and devices.
