GENERAL ASPECTS IN VENEZUELA
It is situated on the northern tip of South America. Southern Venezuela borders Brazil and Colombia, the East with the Republicof Guyana and the Atlantic Ocean, and west with Colombia. Its geographic coordinates are: North Latitude between 0 º 45 'and 12 º 11' 46 "west longitude between 15 º 40 '33" and73 º 25'.
Political system:
Presidential republic. Achieved independence from Spain in 1830. Converted into the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, its leader isthe head of state and government.
Administrative divisions:
Sets 23 states, a Metropolitan District (Caracas) and 72 federal agencies in the Caribbean Sea.Capital:
Caracas. Other major cities include Valencia, Maracaibo, Macaraya, Merida and San Cristobal.
Official language:
Castilian.
Religion:
Venezuelans aremostly Roman Catholics (96%), followed by the number of trainees by the Protestants. There is freedom of worship.
