Gamblers are losers in the long run

In June 2008, Jules Grenier, a 74 years old man, hanged himself under a bridge and committed suicide. The reason of the suicide was that Grenier lost anestimated of $500,000 dollars between 1999 and 20008 because of gambling. Today, Grenier’s family is suing the Loto-Quebec casino for $1 million dollars in damages by saying that the casino encouragedGrenier’s gambling problem by providing him a privilege membership card. As you can see, the purpose of this speech is to convince you that gambling can be dangerous.
Gambling nowadays is a form of funthat has started to get more and more followers. The problem starts when that bit of fun becomes an addiction. I would not like to talk about this problem, because it is a sad reality, but it has becomesuch a great problem that you all have to know the negative effects of the gambling addiction.
Studies in Hong Honk have demonstrated how addict gamblers develop some other forms of mentaldisorders. Antisocial personality disorder, anxiety disorder, substance use disorder, these are just some examples of different mental disorders that gambling addicts develop. The bad news is that most of the times, the games where people gamble big amounts of money, are manipulated.
