Roberto Gómez Bolaños (Mexico City, February 21, 1929) better known as Chespirito, is an actor, comedian, songwriter, playwright, poet, writer, director and television producer in Mexico. He is the creator of El Chavo del Ocho and El Chapulin Colorado.

Biography
Son of Bolaños Cacho Elsa bilingual secretary and painter, cartoonist and illustrator Francisco Gómez Linares studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, but never graduated, and practiced law.
Married since 2004 with Florinda Meza who played DonnaFlorinda in El Chavo del Ocho, after a long relationship. Gómez Bolaños married first with Graciela Fernández, with whom he had six children.
He began his career as advertising creative, which connected it with radio and television, which was, during the 1950's, a very active writer. He also made several film scripts for the duo Chip and Capulina and started briefly as an actor with two servantsspoiled them in 1960. However, he continued to devote most of his time to writing, contributing to dialogue scripts films and Mexican television.
His professional name Chespirito, is due to film director Agustin P. Delgado, derived from the diminutive of the pronunciation of the name William Shakespeare Hispanicized because Gómez Bolaños's stature and talent to write stories that resembled those ofShakespeare.
Between 1960 and 1965, wrote scripts for the two highest-rated programs on Mexican television: Comedy and Songs and the study of Pedro Vargas, Mexican Telesistema chain.

On November 12, 2009, wasadmitted to emergency Chespirito in a hospital in Mexico City. According to statements by his son Roberto Gomez Fernandez Chespirito had a complication of the prostate, for which I made a simple surgery.
