Title
The Three Musketeers

Author:
Alexandre Dumas

This book is about the year 1628 in France and England. The main characters in the book isa young man from the province of Gascony left home to seek his fortune in Paris. D’artagnan was just twenty years old, but he know how to use his sword, he was verybrave, and he loved the adventures. D’Artagnan hopes to become a Musketeer one day, but he doesn’t have much going for him except for his training as a gentleman, which means, effectively, that he can handle a sword and be polite about it.

Some of events, which happen in the book, are the moment when D’artagnean left home to take his father’sletter to Monsieur de Trevielle’s, also when he met the three musketeers Athos, Porthos and Aramis. And had some fights with bad men. Other events were, that the Duke ofBuckingham was in love with the queen, but nobody knows that. D’artagnan helped the queen to keep save her secret. However all these things that he did like serve theKing and his Country, the duels, earn glory and money was his ambition, all this to become a Musketeer.

Dumas’s writing style is awesome, his writing is about friendship, love, hate, revenge, secrets, danger, adventure, swordfights, duels, honour, jealousy, agendas, ambition, greed, lust. And more than a little humour and sarcasm. Mainly anadventure with dash of romance.

I Really enjoyed this amazing book, specially the duels between Musketeers and bad men, also the clothing of these people are reallycool, the hats with feather, the boots, the vest, and the swords. I really recommend this entertaining book. However once you access the story it’s truly spellbinding.
