Photojournalist
Photo journalism is a particular form of journalism (the collecting, editing, and presenting of news material for publication or broadcast) that creates images in order totell a news story. It is now usually understood to refer only to still images, but in some cases the term also refers to video used in broadcast journalism. Photojournalism is distinguished fromother close branches of photography (e.g., documentary photography, social documentary photography, street photography or celebrity photography) by complying with a rigid ethical framework whichdemands that the work is both honest and impartial whilst telling the story in strictly journalistic terms. Photojournalists create pictures that contribute to the news media.Apartheid (pronounced [ɐpɑːrtɦɛit]; lit. "aparthood") is an Afrikaans[1] word for a system of racial segregation enforced through legislation by the National Party governments, who were the ruling party from1948 to 1994, of South Africa, under which the rights of the majority black inhabitants of South Africa were curtailed and white supremacy and Afrikaner minority rule was maintained. Literallytranslated it means 'the status of being apart'. Apartheid was developed after World War II by theAfrikaner-dominated National Party and Broederbond organizations and was practiced alsoin South West Africa, which was administered by South Africa under a League of Nations mandate (revoked in 1966 via United Nations Resolution 2145[2] ), until it gained independence as Namibia in1990.[3]
