Generations
This has been a little bit of a complicated matter for me. I feel likeshould have been another generation between Generation X and Millennial. But after I read the “Reading Material” first chapter, I understood the concept better. Like probably most of people, I am amixture of “Generation Now” and a “Classic”. In music I feel like Generation X and early Millennial.Because my favorites genres are Punk Rock, Alternative Rock, Hard Rock and 80’s Heavy Metal. A couple of examples are: Relient K, Switchfoot and Stryper. From the 00’s, I barely like anything in thisdepartments. In the subject of Television, I am a Millennial. I love our time T.V. series. My favorites are Dexter, The Big Bang Theory, The Office and Psych. Most of them are comedy but my all-timefavorite is Dexter and is drama.
In films I am a Millennial but mostly of the 90’s. My favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption. Is a great inspirational movie starring Morgan Freeman. Other of myfavorites are: Forrest Gump, Gladiator, The Patriot and Braveheart. The fact that I like most the 90’s movies is because the 00’s movies rely too much on special effect and too little on acting.
Sportsare a big part of my life. The sports that I like the most are boxing and basketball. In this area, I am a Millennial too. My favorite athletes are: Kobe Bryant, Roy Jones Jr. and Floyd Mayweather Jr.Then again, those athletes started their careers in the 90’s and I don’t like most of the ones that started their career in the 00’s. They all have old school personalities but aren’t old enough to beof the Generation X.
Overall I would define myself as a Millennial who loves the 80’s ad 90’s. But have a lot of respect for the Baby Boomers and Generation X. Most of this is because I am a...
